During a year that I lived in Munich, Germany, I was exposed to art and graphic design in a way that I never before experienced. Seeing Sempe drawings in a small gallery, for example, emboldened me to draw and sketch. Living in a foreign country where the language was initially a frustration, but I came to value the universality of visual media as a form of communication.
While I am largely self-taught in art, I have pursued and benefited from courses taken at Connecicut College, the School for Visual Arts in New York and most recently, at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston where I began working three-dimensionally and with dynamic media.
Commissioned work for The New York Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, Microsoft, Johns Hopkins & more.
